Aunt Carol’s Stash

Dan’s great-aunt Carol passed away earlier this year and was apparently an avid knitter and crocheter (I never had the pleasure of meeting her).
My mother-in-law, Lisa, sent me what was left of her stash to supply my own knitting habit. I’m awestruck at how much yarn this woman had. Now granted, it isn’t cashmere, but it’s still good acrylic yarn and I’m excited about the prospects! 
It’s a virtual mountain with a cornucopia of colors. Here are some pictures including my kitchen table where I piled the yarn as I detangled it from the box, me using all of my archaeological digging skills in the ginormous box (I’m the orange thing bent all the way in), and me holding the basketball-sized tangle which I’ve still yet to tame (I’ll work on it while Dan is at paintball on Saturday).
