I Feel Like Amerigo Vespucci

Like Amerigo Vespucci who explored the Atlantic Ocean and discovered important stuff about South America at the turn of the 16th century, Dan and I too recently committed ourselves to a worthwhile and honorable mission: Coke-flavored ICEEs.? About two weeks ago, I began really craving one of those slushy wonders of delight, so my sweet husband and I drove around Louisville whilst on errands, stopping at 5-6 convenience stores.? No dice.? No nothing.? Just gross fruit flavored ICEEs.? Like those can be considered ICEEs.? And being that gas is about $600 per tank (and that the game was quickly losing my interest), we came home.? The following Sunday, we were stopping for gas after church and Dan said, “Let’s go inside, you never know” and WHAMMO! POW! JACKPOT! and other Batman-reminicent exclamations.? We brave explorers had found our treasure.
For those of you in Louisville, the above mentioned pot ‘o gold can be found at the Thorntons next to Dairy Queen on Bardstown Road.

Oh my goodness does that bring back childhood memories. I used to always get one of those when I went shopping with my mom at Wal-Mart. They are the best!

I loved watching Batman as a kid! We didn’t have cable at home. But if I happened to be next door at the appropriate time, we always tuned in!
